With over two decades of robotics leadership, he has pioneered autonomous technologies across the mining, agriculture, construction, and logistics industries. Torrie grew up on a farm in Alberta, Canada, which motivated him to get an education and automate his tractors. He earned an MS degree in electrical engineering at Utah State University and began robotics research 28 years ago.
